Captivating the County

We don’t live in denial. We understand consumers’ lives today are so inundated with advertising that they’ve become trained to virtually ignore all forms of it, with one notable exception. Campaigns that reach them on a personal level. That’s why our intimate knowledge of the San Diego community is more essential to the success of your business than ever before. Because without that knowledge, your products, services, and messages --- in short, your company --- are likely to be ignored. Don’t let that happen. Let us share your message with the people we know best. We’ll make San Diego take notice.

These companies below understand that. That’s why they’ve come to us and that’s why they’re successful.

Fiesta de Reyes (Radio Spot)

Fiesta De Reyes With a tarnished reputation from its previous owner, Fiesta de Reyes in Old Town State Park (formerly Plaza del Pasado), needed a big media kick to introduce the new and improved plaza to the San Diegans who once loved it.  This boost was found in a series of enthusiastic and fun radio spots that played on several stations the week before the grand opening.  With more than 1,000 people in attendance at the grand opening, this radio buy more than did its job in getting San Diegians back to this part of the park.

Cherple Brochure
Cherple logo
This new technology application was being launched at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, and it needed a slick brochure to explain the innovative technology and its use for consumers, businesses and non-profits.  The result was an interactive, colorful brochure that opened in such a way that message points were revealed one at a time with each point building upon itself.  As the piece was opened, the reader was told a convincing story as to why this application was the answer to their SMS message needs.  To top it off, as the piece was just the right size to fit into a shirt pocket, a cheerful die-cut product mascot was added to the top so when placed in a pocket (as people usually do at tradeshows) the mascot would appear to be peeking out.

The Corky McMillin Companies
McMillin NewsletterA builder with a vast reach, The Corky McMillin Companies needs to reach San Diegans of all different backgrounds. j. simms agency helps them do that by writing and designing quarterly newsletters for the master-planned communities of The Estates at StoneBridge, Morgan Hill and McMillin Lomas Verdes. Each newsletter speaks to San Diego residents on a personal level, informing them about the community’s growth and development and the positive impact it has on the families that live there. The newsletters have become one of the most effective means of generating traffic to the McMillin sales offices.

South County Economic Development Council
SCEDC NewsletterResponsible for promoting the development of business in San Diego’s South County, the SCEDC’s bimonthly newsletter was not keeping up with the organization’s growth or, more importantly, with the growth of the region it was designed to promote. j. simms agency changed all that, creating a brand-new captivating, professional design template and every other month filling it with attention-getting stories written to resonate specifically with San Diego’s business decision makers.

Globaltel Media Website
Globaltel LogoFor a technology company, you are only as good as your Web site looks.  For Globaltel Media, its site lacked the oomph needed to convince potential customers they were as cutting edge as claimed to be.  j. simms stepped in and revamped the entire site from page design to copy and interactive demonstrations almost overnight.  The result is a better functioning and attractive site that does not distract customers.

j. simms agency helped the developer of Artesia, an El Cajon condo project, stand out from the flood of competition in the market by creating an edgy television spot highlighting the community’s unique selling proposition and doing so in a manner such that first-time San Diego homebuyer audiences took notice.

Belvedere
Belvedere logoWe’re the first to admit that today, more so than ever before, traditional ad mediums don’t always work. Alternative strategies are often in order. That was the case at Belvedere in La Mesa, where j. simms agency orchestrated a meticulously-timed, well-coordinated direct-mail and internet campaign centered around message points crafted specifically to highlight the cross-section between the community’s selling points and the needs of East County buyers.
