We
are committed to making the greater Raleigh-Durham area greater. Having
spent nearly two decades helping businesses and non-profit organizations
across the country grow and prosper, we have now centered this
marketing expertise on those businesses and people who make the
Raleigh-Durham area go round. With homegrown roots in the
local culture, character and business environment, we have a
solid understanding of all things Raleigh-Durham and know what
makes the community tick. This insider perspective
allows us to build and execute the creative, targeted programs
needed to drive business. As the Raleigh-Durham area’s
go-to-agency for strategic public relations, mobile marketing
and sponsorship sales, we’ll implement specific programs
that will grow your visibility, awareness and sales, not just
in The Triangle, but as far as you want to go. We’ll
run the distance, wherever that may take us, to share your message
with the greater Raleigh-Durham community and beyond.
Since 2009, we’ve been the agency of record for some of the area’s
most unique and growing businesses.

With more than 1,600 locations in 37 states, the Renaissance
Village and Townridge Square franchisees of
this popular chicken entrée restaurant chain have a well-established
reputation for providing high-quality, quick-service food for
those hungering for “chickin.” As a new way
to reach existing customers and fly ahead of the pack in reaching
new customers, j. simms was contracted to create its text-messaging
program to drive traffic and sales at specific times of the day
via special promotional offers sent to members of the Chick-fil-A
Text Club.
The Carolina Hurricanes are a professional ice hockey team based
in Raleigh and members of the National Hockey League. Playing
to crowds of up to 18,680 spectators at the RBC Center, the team
turned to j. simms for a mobile marketing platform to help activate
advertisers’ sponsorships both in-venue and on television
broadcasts. Through this mobile campaign during the 2009-2010
season, fans were able to text in specific keywords promoted during
the games to get additional special offers from the Hurrricanes’ advertisers.
Both the Hurricanes and sponsor advertisers were extremely happy
with the mobile marketing platform and we are looking at an expanding
the partnership in 2010-11.
International Championship Boxing, LLC, is world’s first
and only professional boxing league. With an industry presence
in Norfolk, Va. and Las Vegas, ICB intimately introduces boxing
fans to the championships and rising stars of the sport in a
monthly event called the ICB Knockout Series. For the ICB,
j. simms was brought on to serve its mobile marketing needs by
creating an in-venue fan interaction component where event attendees
can text in their vote for who they felt won each fight.
Additionally, a continual touch point component was created
to attract and keep ICB fans up to date on boxing news, event
information, fighter profiles, ticket offers and promotions relating
to upcoming ICB events.
Rex Healthcare, a not-for-profit integrated health care system
owned by the State of North Carolina and based in Chapel Hill,
wanted to promote Heart Awareness Month during Carolina Hurricanes’
games but needed an interactive method to do so. Using j.
simms’ mobile marketing platforms, it was able to broadcast
heart health facts and information through an in-game and
television-based strategy with the Raleigh-based NHL team.
The in-game component involved the display of trivia questions
and prompted fans to text in their answer for a chance to win
team memorabilia. More than 3,400 fans participated in the
campaign and everyone present got a lesson in heart heath!
