COMMITTEE
NOW FORMING FOR CHS CLASS OF 1978 30TH REUNION
-- Contact Information Requested of All Classmates
--
A committee has been formed and plans are under way for the
30th Reunion of Coronado High School’s Class of 1978. Committee chair is Mary Lou Staight, voted
Girl Most Popular her senior year and the captain of the Varsity Cheerleading
Squad.
Also serving on Staight’s committee are Terri (Gregory)
Moreau, chair of the 20th Reunion in 1998, Julia (Frampton) Simms,
Bob Cooper, Dean Fledderjohn and Robert Sanchez, class president both his
junior and senior years.
The committee members are primarily
focused on obtaining contact information for each of their classmates. All members of the Class of 1978 are requested to send
their current contact information to Terri Moreau at atm71986@aol.com.
The second meeting of the reunion committee will be held on
Feb. 19 at Staight’s home in Hillcrest.
Anyone interested in learning more about the reunion or joining the
reunion committee should contact Staight at (619) 291-1920 or via
email at maryloustaight@juno.com.
“We are having a lot of fun reminiscing about our high
school years and getting reacquainted,” Staight said, “and we are getting a
little bit of work done at the same time.”
The 30th Reunion is
tentatively planned for July 2 at the new Coronado Community Center. Staight says that a private sponsor will be
underwriting a majority of the costs so that “money should not stop any
classmate from attending.” Live
entertainment is planned as well as island-themed heavy hors d’oeuvres.
